Oh my goodness! I am now being followed by @NotEntirely! To Celebrate, I made up this little 8 bit .Gif and put together a brief review of a book she recommended me; The Wind Up Bird Chronicle, By Haruki Murakami.
Put simply, I hope Haruki Murakami gets the Nobel in Literature. The Wind Up Bird Chronicle has changed how I will view fiction for the rest of my life and I couldn’t be happier about that. I’ve never read a novel with such incredible insight, with such potent imagery, with such masterful foreshadowing. Reading that book literally made me FEEL. Be it disconcerted or what have you, the book, or rather, Murakami’s writing, is so ingenious that it invokes (at least in me) an incredibly surreal feeling….Beyond that, the story is hard to summarize. If I were to give it my very best, I would describe it as a sort of written jigsaw puzzle that you assemble using only the hint of the final image as viewed through a kaleidoscope.
As @NotEntirely says… if you haven’t read it, drop what you are doing right now and START.
